We Go Were Your Dog Has Gone Before

FAQs

How often does our company come out?
We provide once a week service on the same day each week. We do have some areas we can come out twice during the week, and we also can provide every other week service for those who have small dogs and little waste pickup.

What happens when we have bad weather?
Our company will work in all kinds of weather. However, heavy rains or lightening may stop us, and hurricanes are downright scary! If we are unable to get to you, you will be notified and the work is most often made up later in the week.

What about holidays?
We do not work the following days (even Scoopers need a break now and then):

New Years Day Labor Day
Memorial Day Thanksgiving Day
Independence Day Christmas Eve and Day

When a holiday falls on a regular service day, we will notify you and will try to get to you later that week. If that is not possible, you will be credited for that missed service day.

Can we work with your dog in the yard?
In most cases, yes. We get along well with dogs; however, there are some cases when a dog will not let our Scooper into the yard. If you know that your dog is not good with strangers, or it becomes apparent that your dog will not allow us to clean the yard, then we ask that you restrain or confine the dog on our service day. We don’t want to take unnecessary risks with your dog or our employees.

What if I want to skip a service day?
You will not be charged if you call the company office in time for us to tell your Scooper to skip your yard that day (24 hours notice). If the dog will be gone from the yard for a couple of weeks, or for some other reason you want us to skip your yard for a day or more, we can hold service and you will not be charged for those days. There will also be no charge for service missed due to weather or some other event beyond your control.
However, if your gate is locked or the dog will not allow us to clean the yard when we come to do the work, it will still be necessary to charge for the service call that could not be completed. Remember, we showed up on schedule and we’ll be shoveling up TWICE as much the next time. If, for instance, you get to work and remember that the gate is locked, call us early to tell us to skip that day so that you won’t be charged. We always leave a bright yellow tag attached to your gate or front door after servicing your yard to show you we were there.

How do I pay you?
We bill monthly in arrears. Invoices will go out in the first 3 days following the service month (by mail or email; your choice). Payment will be expected by the 15th. You may pay by check in return mail or by using the PayPal button on your emailed invoice. A late fee of $10 will be added to the account balance if payment is still not received by the end of the month. If the account is not caught up by the 15th of the following month, service will cease until the account is settled. We know this sounds tough, but we work hard for our money and expect to be paid for our services as agreed. We hope the PayPal convenience will help avoid such actions. It doesn’t cost you anything to use and is quick.

Are there any contracts I have to sign?
No – We can start and stop your service over the phone or by e-mail. We do not require contracts; there is no minimum service period, and we only require 24 hours notice to cancel service. We do ask you to sign a permission slip for us to be in your yard that will be kept on file during your term of service. It is enclosed in the Welcome Packet with a self-addressed, stamped envelope. We will need this in order to begin service.

Is there an extra charge for the first time?
Initial clean-ups that don’t require more than 20 minutes won’t be charged anything more than the service call. If it takes up to 30 minutes, the charge will be $35; up to an hour $65. Over an hour is charge at $1 per minute.

Is it possible to schedule a one-time-only service?
No, we do not offer that service.

Other notes: We will walk your property at least twice each visit to locate all your dog’s waste, however, there are certain conditions that may prevent us from finding and disposing of everything. Tall grass and standing water are some of the impediments to locating all the waste. Over-sized yards and cleaning of rocks or gravel may require additional charges. We will be as thorough as we can, but unlike your dog, we are only human!
